League Rules
Missouri Babe Ruth Baseball / Cal Ripken Baseball State Rules
- State dues will be $5.00 per team in league.
- District and state commissioner will be reimbursed for mileage and operating expenses only.
- Each district commissoner, and assistant state commissioner will have one vote per issue.
- The state commissioner will only vote in case of a tie.
- Districts are to hold a spring meeting and fall meeting each year. election for district commisioner with be held every two years during fall meeting.
- State commisioner to hold a spring meeting and fall meeting each year. election for state commissioner will be held every two years during the fall meeting.
- The spring meeting will be an open meeting for all intrested parties to attend, the fall meeting will be a closed meeting for district and state commissoners only unless the state commissioner approves a visitor to attend the meeting.
- District tournament fees will be, $15.00 per game for 3 or fewer teams, fees for 4 or more teams will be $200.00 per tournament. fees will be paid to missouri babe ruth league.
- State tournament fees will be $650.00. $350.00 will be paid to the missouri babe ruth league, and $300.00 will be paid to the winner of the state tournament for travel expenses to the regional tournament.
- Teams must sign a form at the start of tournament play that they will continue to play at each tournament level if they win. (penalty) that age group will not be eligible for tournament play the following year. state commissioner will have the authority to waive this penalty
- The state commissioner has the authority to appoint assissant state commissoners or district commissoners to oversee state tournaments.
- Coach’s certification at www.baberuthcoaching.org. Managers and coaches must be certified.
- Teams hosting tournaments may only play down one level in tournament play.
New rule 2009:
- Senior bats must be -3, same as high school.
